Qstack is a fully comprehensive cloud management platform that makes it easy to deploy a hybrid or public cloud. Built to be easy to use, secure, and compatible, Qstack is able to run on any commodity hardware and is hypervisor-agnostic, giving companies the flexibility to employ what’s best suited for their infrastructure needs without being locked into a specific vendor.
The company was founded in February 2010 as a public cloud provider. Jonsi Stefansson took over as CEO in April 2014 with a mission to pivot the company to a pure software company focusing on developing an on-premise cloud management platform, Qstack. With development of Qstack, the team took advantage of the experience of running, managing and maintaining a public cloud for the past four years. A beta version of Qstack was officially launched in the fall of 2015 introducing Qstack, the comprehensive cloud management platform, developed for global market. In August 2017 the company got acquired by NetApp and is currently working on NetApp Hybrid Cloud Solutions.
